Al-Isra' (1)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

I'm going to discuss some verses in Qur'an from Surah Al-Isra'. I am not an expert in doing this things but I'll try. All of the mistakes are from me.

مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاءُ لِمَنْ نُرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَاهَا مَذْمُومًا مَدْحُورًا

Whoever should desire the immediate -  We hasten for him from it what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell, which he will [enter to] burn, censured and banished.
(17:18)

وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْآخِرَةَ وَسَعَىٰ لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُمْ مَشْكُورًا

But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer - it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by Allah ].
(17:19)

كُلًّا نُمِدُّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَهَٰؤُلَاءِ مِنْ عَطَاءِ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا

To each [category] We extend -  to these and to those -  from the gift of your Lord. And never has the gift of your Lord been restricted.
(17:20)

انْظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَلَلْآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلًا

Look how We have favored [in provision] some of them over others. But the Hereafter is greater in degrees [of difference] and greater in distinction.
(17:21)

لَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَخْذُولًا

Do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity and [thereby] become censured and forsaken.
(17:22)

In these verses, Allah already said, you have to balance between dunya and akhirah. Don't you ever only chase dunya and forget the akhirah. Don't just remember to chase the money, wealth, nice lives, nice spouse, but you forget the akhirah. You only want all of those things but at the same time you forget the akhirah. You forget to increase your pahala, you rarely solat and read the al-Quran, you rarely doing the good deeds. And the result is, you got all the things you want in dunya but you didn't get the barakah. You are happy with your own lives but without the barakah from Allah, it means nothing. You are a muslim, so the first thing that you have to chase is for sure the akhirah. All the things that will lead you to get a place in Heaven, and all the rewards from Allah. Allah loves those who are always keep these things first, and then the others. And Allah has said too, that the Hereafter, the distinction is greater.

So, keep Allah in mind first. whatever things you want to do, whatever things you want to try, to achieve. Put Allah first. when you already get the barakah, all the things that you want to, will be easier inshaallah. And you will have a lighter heart when you're achieving those things. Have faith in Him. He will always help those who are always remember Him. Okay?
